Bulgaria launched heavy design phase of South Stream

Bulgaria actually allow construction of the pipeline "South Stream".
Ministry of Environment and Water has issued approval of evaluation report for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
This was the last hurdle for the project, which is expected to bring thousands of jobs during the construction itself and when the pipeline is operational.
Environment Ministry has given approval and the report on the extent of the impact and consistency of the project with the environment, as well as permission to use the best technologies in the construction of compressor stations near Varna, Lozen and racial.
Management and experts of the project company "South Stream - Bulgaria" are able to perform all activities of EIA within one year.
Construction and operation of the tube will meet all Bulgarian and EU laws and regulations.
Now pending public hearings in communities expected approval of the final "Comprehensive Plan" and building permit from the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works.
