Dutch Queen Beatrix will make this evening address to the nation on television and radio, the palace said. The news soon rebelled Dutch media, which many argue that the most likely 74-year-old Queen would abdicate in favor of his son Prince Willem-Alexander.
Beatrix will be celebrating 75 years on Thursday. In 1980. It was the sixth monarch of the Orange dynasty after the abdication of his mother Queen Juliana. The former Queen enjoys great reverence by the Dutch after the run for 31 years and retired at the age of 71 years.
